Joinery Trades Assistant

About our client
You'll be joining a well-established business with a strong reputation for quality decorative and functional panel products. Its products are used across kitchens, commercial fit-outs, hospitality, retail and residential projects. Backed by a large Australian-owned, building products group, the business offers the stability of a national organisation with a strong local presence.

What You'll Do:

• Read and interpret basic plans and drawings to assemble cabinetry and components accurately.
• Assemble and install cut-to-size, flat-pack and general cabinetry.
• Use hand and power tools confidently and safely.
• Assist with preparing, loading and unloading materials and completed products.
• Support the team with on-site installations when required.
• Work across the workshop and site, helping wherever needed to get the job completed.
• Work alongside qualified Cabinet Makers and experienced tradespeople, developing your skills on the job.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, particularly within cabinetry, joinery, construction or a similar environment.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow plans, measurements and instructions.
• Reliable transport and strong work ethic.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Benefits
• $35.00-$37.00 per hour + penalties (skill based)
• Casual to start with a genuine pathway to full-time for the right person
• Work alongside qualified Cabinet Makers and experienced tradespeople, building your skills on the job
• Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 3:06pm
• Friday: 6:30am - 12:06pm
• 38-hour work week.
