About the Position
The school is seeking an enthusiastic HPE Teacher to join the team from Term 1, 2027. The successful applicant will deliver engaging Health and Physical Education lessons across the secondary years, fostering lifelong participation in physical activity, teamwork and healthy lifestyles. The role also provides opportunities to be involved in the college's sporting program and wider school community.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging HPE lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Queensland requirements.
- Safeguarding: Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment during practical and classroom-based activities.
- Communication: Develop positive relationships with students, families and colleagues through clear and purposeful communication.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support sporting events, carnivals and co-curricular activities.
- Leadership: Promote participation, resilience, teamwork and positive sportsmanship across the school community.
Requirements
- Registration: Hold or be eligible to obtain Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are required.
- Qualifications: Hold a recognised teaching qualification with the ability to teach Health and Physical Education.
- Safeguarding: Provide two current professional referees and complete HARKE Recruitment's safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
- Catholic Education: Be willing to support the values and educational mission of a Catholic school.
