Policy & Compliance Consultant (Aged Care Reform Project) | Remote

Are you an experienced Policy, Quality or Compliance professional with a strong understanding of aged care legislation and governance frameworks?

We are seeking an experienced consultant to support a short-term project reviewing and strengthening organisational policies in preparation for upcoming Aged Care reforms.

Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring policies, procedures and compliance frameworks are aligned with legislative requirements and industry best practice.

This is an initial 2-3 week project with flexibility to work either full-time or part-time and the possibility of ongoing project work supporting audits, compliance initiatives and tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update existing policies to align with Aged Care reforms
• Develop new policies and supporting documentation for emerging services
• Analyse legislation and translate regulatory requirements into practical policies and procedures
• Review existing policy frameworks and identify areas for improvement
• Support governance, compliance and document control processes
• Assist with audit preparation, accreditation and quality assurance activities
• Provide practical recommendations to leadership regarding compliance pathways and risk mitigation
• Contribute to agreements, compliance documentation and supporting governance materials

About You
You will bring:

• Previous experience in policy, compliance, quality or governance roles
• Experience within aged care, disability, healthcare, community services or a related sector
• Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and translate requirements into practical policy frameworks
• Strong analytical, research and documentation skills
• Experience supporting audits, accreditation or regulatory compliance activities
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice
