Press Line Operators - All Shifts

Position Summary

The Press Line Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the press line, racking finished parts, performing quality inspections, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and supporting TPM and continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities may also include forklift operation, metal rework, automation troubleshooting, and die changes. Setting dies on press bolsters may be required and requires the appropriate crane operating license. Employees will also perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate press line equipment safely and efficiently to meet production requirements.
  • Rack finished parts according to established specifications.
  • Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Complete all required quality documentation accurately and timely.
  • Identify quality issues and participate in corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Maintain production efficiency and meet established performance standards.
  • Perform inside and outside die changeovers.
  • Program and make fine adjustments to automation equipment.
  • Build and maintain automation tooling as needed.
  • Troubleshoot automation and production equipment.
  • Load steel into destackers using a forklift.
  • Perform metal rework on parts as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Participate in 5S, TPM, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to identify defects in sheet metal and aluminum parts.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification may be required.
  • Crane operating license required if performing die-setting duties.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or more during a shift.
  • Frequently lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally climb, carry, pull, grip, grasp, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
