Role Overview

• Position Type: Full Time Permanent
• Start Date: Term 4, 2026 (October)
• Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs 
• Year Level: Prep
• Salary: $79,589 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.

Role Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Prep lessons aligned to the Victorian Curriculum, building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy for all students
• Foster a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that supports the social, emotional and academic development of Prep students
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families and the broader school community, supporting smooth transition from kinder to school
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback to students and families
• Collaborate with primary colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
• Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement

About You

You’re a qualified teacher:

• Hold or are eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa Makers encouraged to apply)
• Hold or are eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Have an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
• Bring creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
• Maintain high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
