Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 1, 2027 (January)
- Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: French, Years 7-9
- Salary: $79,589 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated French lessons across Years 7-9 aligned to the Victorian Curriculum
- Foster students' French language skills across reading, writing, speaking and listening in a culturally diverse school community
- Apply evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners across junior and middle year levels
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college and Department of Education requirements
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues on French curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
- Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement
You’re a qualified teacher:
- Hold or are eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa Makers encouraged to apply)
- Hold or are eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Have an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Bring creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintain high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
