People Services Manager

About the Role:

As an HR Generalist, you will handle HR operational tasks and deliver HR services and solutions to managers and employees in Japan. You will play a crucial role in executing assignments, thinking proactively in a dynamic and demanding business environment, and focusing on delivering HR operational services. You will also contribute to projects aimed at improving HR processes and systems, reporting to the Japan People Head and participating in overall people initiatives and activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day HR tasks, including onboarding, compensation and benefits, payroll preparation, and local training.
• Maintain oversight of specific cases, activities, and workflows.
• Monitor and follow up on manager and employee queries, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
• Support, implement, and execute HR initiatives in Japan and globally.
• Address questions from managers and employees professionally and gather feedback for process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (human resource or relevant discipline is a plus).
• Experience in HR operations, including payroll administration and HRIS tools.
• Knowledge of Japan labor law and social insurance.
• Experience in payroll and benefits program operations.
• Ability to multitask and excellent communication skills.
• Customer-oriented approach, providing efficient and personalized service.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with data.
• Pragmatic and result-driven mindset.
• Ability to work in an international environment and build relationships at different levels.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to self-reflect.
