We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Procurement Technician to support the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the Procurement Unit. This position will assist with purchasing activities, requisition processing, contract and solicitation support, tracking, research, reporting, and procurement card administration.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous purchasing or procurement experience who enjoys staying organized, working with multiple departments, and keeping processes moving efficiently.
Schedule
- Part-time, 20–30 hours per week
- Flexible schedule
- Candidates can select the days and hours they work between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Schedule must total 20–30 hours each week
Responsibilities
- Process and track purchasing requisitions
- Provide administrative support for purchasing and procurement activities
- Assist with solicitations and contract documentation
- Maintain and update contract and procurement tracking records
- Conduct research and prepare reports as needed
- Assist with procurement card administration and documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized purchasing records
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and other external stakeholders
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding procurement items
- Help ensure purchasing activities follow established procedures and requirements
- Provide general administrative support to the Procurement Unit
Requirements
- Previous purchasing or procurement experience
- Experience with Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Google Suite
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal departments
- Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records
Preferred Qualifications
- Adobe experience
- Smartsheet experience
- Previous experience with purchase requisitions, contracts, solicitations, or procurement tracking
- Experience working in a government, public-sector, or highly regulated environment is a plus
