The Opportunity
Reporting directly to an executive leader, you'll play a pivotal role in defining and executing the strategic agenda across the insurance portfolio.
You'll partner with senior leaders to identify growth opportunities, develop business cases, challenge existing thinking and ensure strategic initiatives are translated into practical, executable outcomes. This role is as much about influence as it is analysis, requiring someone who can bring people together, create alignment and drive momentum across multiple business priorities.
 
What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with executive leaders to solve complex strategic and commercial challenges.
• Develop business cases, operating models and strategic recommendations that shape future business direction.
• Lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives from concept through to execution.
• Influence senior stakeholders and build alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Translate strategy into practical action plans with clear measures of success.
• Monitor market trends, customer insights and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
• Drive accountability, governance and benefits realisation across strategic initiatives.
• Support innovation across areas including product, pricing, customer experience, AI and operational excellence.

About You
You'll likely come from a top-tier management consulting background before moving into an in-house strategy role within a complex, regulated organisation.
You'll be recognised for your structured thinking, commercial acumen and ability to simplify complex problems into actionable solutions.
 
You'll bring:

• 7+ years' experience in corporate strategy, enterprise strategy or management consulting.
• Experience developing strategic frameworks, operating models, business cases and growth initiatives.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
• A proven ability to influence without authority and drive outcomes across diverse teams.
• Experience working within financial services, insurance, banking, wealth management, fintech or another regulated industry.

Highly Regarded

• Insurance industry experience.
• Exposure to AI strategy, digital transformation or enterprise operating model design.
• Experience within a Strategy Office or Chief of Staff function.
• Experience partnering directly with executive leadership teams.

 
This Role Isn't Suited To
We're looking for a strategic thinker rather than a delivery-focused project professional. As such, this opportunity is unlikely to suit candidates whose background is primarily:

• Project Management.
• PMO or governance.
• Program delivery or implementation without strategic ownership.
• Operational insurance leadership without demonstrated corporate strategy experience.
