Education, knowledge, or skill requirements: - Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment- Experience with a variety of maintenance, repair and construction tasks, including commonly used tools and equipment- Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (MSDS) beneficial Summary of essential job functions: - Perform custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure thatthe building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner- Secure storage areas on facility premises- Maintain an adequate supply of materials and supplies; restock when necessary- Wash and disinfect all washrooms, including the toilets, floors, sinks, hand dyers, mirrors, and fixtures- Clean floors, mopping tiles and concrete floors, vacuuming carpeted areas; wax, buff, and polish floors and shampoo carpets as needed- Clean offices and meeting rooms, dusting all furniture and fixtures as required; empty waste baskets- Clean entrance areas and foyer, including glass doors and hardware; clear snow and debris- Clean, wash and disinfect kitchen sinks, counters, and drinking fountains; replenish soap and paper- Wash finger marks from walls, doors, hardware, and glass- Perform maintenance inspections and checks to ensure proper operation, noting any problems found- Perform minor building repairs including drywall, paint and wall covering; ceiling tile and grid; carpet and tile flooring; door and door hardware – as well as plumbing repair faucets, sinks, urinals, toilets and drains.- Perform preventative maintenance to building systems and equipment as assigned or required- Perform exterior cleaning and repairs- Create and close work requests- Follow all handbook and safety guidelines Abilities required: - Ability to operate medium weight cleaning equipment such as floor polishers and buffers, portable vacuums; and a wide variety of hand and power tools- Ability to work in confined places and at elevated heights- Moving heavy objects of over 50 lbs. may be required- Willingness to work overtime on short notice APPLY ONLINE TODAY!]]>
