We're seeking an Edgeband Operator to join our team in Bristol, IN. We specialize in custom closet systems, home office cabinets, and garage cabinets.As an Edgeband Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and monitoring edgebanding equipment used to prepare cabinet components for the next stage of production. This is a detail-focused position that requires patience, attention to quality, and the ability to learn and adjust machine settings based on individual part specifications.What You’ll Be DoingAs an Edgeband Operator, your core responsibilities will include:-Machine Operation: Operate the edgeband machine, properly load parts, change programs, and adjust machine settings according to part specifications.-Part Identification Scanning: Read part labels and edging summary sheets to identify the correct edgebanding required, then scan each part using the company's 1-part flow process.-Quality Control: Inspect parts throughout the production process and perform quality checks every 10th part to ensure consistent, high-quality results.-Material Management: Load edgebanding into the machine and locate or put away edgebanding materials as needed.-Machine Maintenance: Perform calibration tests before production, monitor machine performance, and maintain a clean and organized machine and work area.In addition, you will also be expected to assist other departments when production needs change, help eliminate bottlenecks, and communicate with supervisors when issues require additional support.What We’re Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:Qualifications:Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful, but not requiredAbility to learn and follow detailed proceduresStrong attention to detail and quality awarenessAbility to read part labels and follow production specificationsAbility to lift 20–40 pounds repetitively throughout an 8-hour shiftReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to work safely around machinery and production equipmentWillingness to assist other departments when production needs require itSkills:-Coachable: Able to receive constructive feedback and apply it to improve performance.-Observant: Able to identify abnormalities or inconsistencies with machinery and finished parts.-Problem Solving: Able to work through production issues and recognize when a supervisor should be involved.-Organization: Able to maintain a clean, orderly workspace and properly manage materials.-Communication: Able to communicate respectfully and effectively with coworkers and supervisors.-Teamwork: Willing to assist other team members and departments to keep production moving efficiently.What We’re Looking For in a CandidateThe ideal candidate is patient, detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to learn.
