Head of Finance Transformation & Process Excellence

EMEA Recruitment is partnering with a confidential international organisation to recruit a Head of Finance Transformation & Process Excellence based in the Zurich area.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will oversee key finance processes, manage strategic outsourcing partnerships, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, control, and service delivery across multiple regions.

The role would suit an established transformation leader or a Big 4 Manager looking to take the next step into an industry leadership position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the governance and performance management of strategic outsourced service providers, ensuring service levels, controls, and performance expectations are achieved
• Own and drive the standardisation of key finance processes across a complex international organisation
• Partner with finance, operations, and technology teams to deliver transformation and process improvement initiatives
• Establish and monitor KPIs, governance frameworks, and controls to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Lead change management activities and support the successful adoption of new processes across global teams
• Develop and mentor a small team while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

Candidate Profile

• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Experience within Finance Transformation, Shared Services, Global Business Services, BPO management, or Process Excellence environments
• Proven track record of leading process optimisation, governance, or operating model improvement initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
• Understanding of finance controls, compliance, and best-practice processes
• Fluent German and English language skills
