Medical Assistant (MA) - Doctor's Pavilion

A healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for an ambulatory care setting in Brooklyn, NY. This role supports patient flow, clinical coordination, and direct patient care in a busy medicine floor environment.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Setting: Ambulatory Care Center

Responsibilities:

• Support patient flow by greeting patients, coordinating rooming, and helping ensure a positive care experience
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, chief complaints, and other required assessments
• Perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other clinical tasks as ordered and within scope
• Assist physicians and care teams during examinations and procedures, including setup, supplies, specimen handling, and patient safety support
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, equipment, and patient records while supporting communication, scheduling, and routine administrative needs

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or physician's office setting

• High school Diploma / GED
• Medical Assistant certification
• CPR certification
• EKG and phlebotomy training
• Ability to work with patients across all age groups
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
