This newly created role offers the opportunity to take ownership of an established territory while driving new business development and expanding relationships with key accounts across Victoria.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical sales support across a diverse range of industrial applications.
This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role that requires both strong technical capability and commercial acumen. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that add value and support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for account expansion.
- Generate new business opportunities across industrial, manufacturing, mining, water and infrastructure markets.
- Promote a broad range of engineered products and solutions to end users, OEMs and EPC contractors.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, quotations, negotiations and account management.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast sales activity through CRM.
- Contribute to project tenders and major opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, KPI's and growth objectives.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Projects, Customer Service, Operations and Engineering.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Experience in a Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Business Development or Account Management role.
- A trade, engineering or technical background.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong business development and pipeline generation skills.
- Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, mining, process, water, infrastructure or related sectors.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to forecast, budget and manage territory performance.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work autonomously while remaining highly accountable for results.
