Global Category Manager

EMEA Recruitment is working with a leading international organization in its search for a Global Category Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a significant global spend portfolio, with a primary focus on Media alongside Consumer Insights.

Operating within a complex, fast-paced international environment, you will partner with senior stakeholders across the business, manage key external agency relationships and play an important role in delivering commercial value across a highly visible category.

We are looking for someone who combines strong strategic category expertise with a hands-on approach to sourcing, negotiation and commercial delivery.

Responsibilities of the Global Category Manager:

• Take global ownership of the Media and Consumer Insights category

• Develop and execute global category and sourcing strategies

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activity and complex commercial negotiations

• Manage and coordinate relationships with external agencies and strategic partners

• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation

• Partner cross-functionally with relevant business functions

• Identify opportunities to deliver commercial value, efficiencies and improved supplier performance

• Provide commercial challenge and insight to support business decision-making

• Remain hands-on with sourcing activity while driving the longer-term category strategy

Experience required:

• Strong Category Management and Strategic Sourcing experience, ideally with significant exposure to Media

• Consumer Insights procurement experience would be advantageous

• Experience managing complex, high-value categories within an international organisation

• Proven experience working with external agencies and strategic partners

• Strong commercial, sourcing and negotiation capabilities

• Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
