Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company in system solutions. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years’ experience in system solutions for the job of Sales & Application Engineering Manager - SEA (based in Indonesia). The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include: 

• Report directly to VP Sales SEA
• Encompass strategic leadership, technical guidance, and team development to ensure our solutions meet and exceed client expectations in critical industrial sectors.
• Leading the commercial and technical strategy across team in system solutions, including VSD control systems, hydraulic power units (HPUs), SCADA and automation platforms, power conversion units, and condition‑monitoring integrations, within key markets such as palm oil mills, marine propulsion/auxiliary systems, metals processing lines, and other relevant industrial sectors, deploying standardized system packages such as drive panels, soft starters, SCADA dashboards, automated process‑control loops, HPUs, and integrated motor‑drive‑hydraulic systems.
• Developing and leading the application engineering team in designing complete solutions combining drives, power electronics, motors, HPUs, SCADA/IIoT platforms, cooling systems, sensors, and digital monitoring.
• Strengthening relationships within OEM, EPC, and integrator partners to improve solution lifecycle performance and customer return on investment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with company product experts to ensure cohesive offering development and delivery aligned to customer needs and market trends.
• Regularly engage with regional stakeholders, providing technical leadership and commercial insight to ensure alignment with the company’s sustainability and business goals.

Job Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a commercial discipline from reputable university
• Minimum 20 years’ experience in system solutions in integration
• Comprehensive hands-on experience with system integration including AC drives, hydraulic circuits, HPUs, SCADA/PLC systems, or industrial automation, particularly within key sectors and markets in Southeast Asia.
• Deep understanding of SCADA system architectures, hydraulic power applications, and processes relevant to marine, palm oil, or metals industries.
• Proven leadership in managing and inspiring solution sales and application engineering teams, with a strong track record of talent development and upskilling to build capable and agile teams.
• Exceptional capacity to analyse and translate complex customer needs into integrated electro-mechanical-digital system solutions that deliver value and performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills tailored to navigate multicultural and diverse business environments, fostering collaborative relations with internal teams and external partners.
• A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth while maintaining a focus on sustainability and customer satisfaction.
