Commercial Roofing Labourer | Immediate Start | Palmerston North

Are you a reliable labourer who is comfortable working at heights and ready to start immediately?

We are looking for a Commercial Roofing Labourer to join a busy commercial construction project in Palmerston North. You’ll work alongside an experienced roofing team, assisting with roofing materials, tools and general site duties.

You do not need to be a qualified roofer. What matters most is that you’re physically fit, reliable, comfortable working from scaffolding and ready to get stuck in.

Hours & Duration:

Start: Tuesday 1st of September
Duration: Approximately 1 month
Hours: Starting at 7:00am, with finish times varying depending on the day’s workload and generally running up to approximately 6:00pm.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assisting roofers on a commercial construction site
• Working from scaffolding on 1–2 storey buildings
• Carrying, handling and positioning roofing materials
• Assisting with nailing, screwing and fastening materials
• Passing tools and materials to the roofing team
• General site labouring
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Following instructions from roofers and site supervisors
• Working safely at heights and around scaffolding

To be successful, you should:

• Have previous working-at-heights experience
• Be confident and comfortable working from scaffolding
• Be physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Have basic experience using hand tools
• Be comfortable with nailing, screwing and fastening tasks
• Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Be able to follow instructions and work well within a team
• Be reliable, punctual and committed to turning up every day
• Take workplace health and safety seriously
