Yard Person - Timber

About the Role Looking for a role where you can stay active, work outdoors, and be part of a great team?
We’re on the hunt for a physically strong, reliable, and customer-focused Yard Person to join our Manukau branch.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Picking and preparing timber and building materials for collection and delivery
  
  
• Assisting trade and DIY customers with their orders
  
  
• Operating a crosscut saw (training provided)
  
  
• Keeping the yard tidy, organised, and safe
  
  
• Working closely with sales, dispatch, and manufacturing teams
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Physically fit & strong – comfortable with manual handling
  
  
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  
  
• Friendly & approachable – great with customers, positive, bubbly attitude
  
  
• Comfortable using tools and equipment
  
  
• Knowledge of timber and grades (or eager to learn)
  
  
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and well-presented
  
  
• Basic maths skills and confidence with measurements
