Tax Manager

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to support our tax financial reporting and compliance functions. This role will report directly to the Head of Tax and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for U.S. insurance and non-insurance corporations.
• Manage compliance for various tax types, including:
• Sales & use tax
• Personal property tax
• Commercial rent tax
• Federal excise tax
• Prepare and review U.S. information filings for foreign entities (e.g., Forms 5471, 8865, 8621) and foreign tax credit calculations (Form 1118).
• Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits.
• Identify opportunities to reduce tax liabilities and minimize audit exposure.
• Leverage tax software and systems to enhance work quality, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Tax to:
• Engage external specialists for complex tax issues.
• Support operational and strategic corporate initiatives.
• Reconcile and utilize data to fulfill tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Experience in the (re)insurance industry is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with Workday Ledger and Oracle TRCS Tax Provision is preferred but not required.
