Civil Operators & Labourers | Road Construction | Brisbane, GC & Surrounds

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking experienced Civil Road Construction Operators and Labourers for a number of current and upcoming road and infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.

With projects across North and South Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands and the Gold Coast, we're looking for people with genuine experience working on road construction, road upgrades and civil infrastructure projects.
Project durations range from approximately 6 to 18 months, with ongoing opportunities available across our wider client network.

Rates start from $40/hour for experienced Civil Labourers, plus applicable penalties, travel and meal allowances, with room to increase based on your level of civil experience, skills, tickets and licences.

We're particularly interested in people who understand road building and are comfortable working as part of an experienced civil crew.

Experience we're looking for:

Depending on your background, we're interested in experience across:

• Road construction, road upgrades and civil infrastructure projects
• Road building and pavement construction
• Working with gravel, road base and subgrade
• Grade checking, checking levels and working alongside graders
• Operating rollers to levels, falls and road crowns
• Rolling accurately up against kerbs and around structures
• Pavement preparation and compaction
• Excavation, trenching and backfilling
• Working around and locating existing underground services
• Reading plans and understanding levels and service locations
• Operating skid steer / posi track machinery on civil projects
• Stabilisation and road rehabilitation works
• Asphalt and paving works
• General civil labouring, spotting plant and assisting operators

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience on civil road construction or infrastructure projects
• White Card
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Relevant RII tickets for any plant operated
• Additional tickets and licences such as MR/HR, Electrical Spotter or other relevant civil competencies are highly regarded
• Grade checking, road building and pavement experience is highly regarded
• Good understanding of civil construction and site safety
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a crew
• Willing to assist with general civil duties where required
• Able to provide relevant references for previous civil experience

For Plant Operator positions, we're looking for proven operating experience rather than tickets alone. You should be confident operating your nominated machinery within an active road construction or civil infrastructure environment.
