Due to continued project success and a growing pipeline of work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Design Manager to join their team.
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced infrastructure design professional to lead the delivery of complex bridge, marine and heavy civil design packages across major projects.
Working alongside experienced technical leaders and multidisciplinary specialists, you will be responsible for coordinating integrated design solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction support. You will work closely with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure successful delivery while driving collaboration, innovation and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of design packages across major bridge, marine and heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Manage scope, programme, quality and technical outcomes for allocated design packages. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs across structural, civil, geotechnical, marine and temporary works disciplines
- Act as the key interface between design teams, construction partners and clients to ensure alignment throughout project delivery.
- Drive constructable, integrated and innovative engineering solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, joint venture partners and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on complex infrastructure projects. Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Approximately 10–15+ years' experience delivering major infrastructure design projects
- Strong experience across bridges, marine, ports or heavy civil infrastructure.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design packages through the full project lifecycle.
- Experience working within complex delivery environments such as Design & Construct, Alliances or Joint Ventures.
- Strong understanding of Australian engineering standards and infrastructure design frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and coordination skills.
- A collaborative leader with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.
