With a significant cohort of graduate teachers already developing within the school, this appointment provides an opportunity for an experienced educator to bring established classroom expertise to a collaborative teaching team.
About the Role
This full-time Humanities (Accounting) Teacher position will commence in Term 1, 2027. The school is seeking an experienced teacher who can confidently step into the classroom and deliver high-quality curriculum from the outset. A 12-month contract is the preferred arrangement; however, an ongoing appointment can be considered for the right candidate seeking longer-term security. Graduate teachers will not be considered for this position.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Humanities and Accounting programs with confidence and strong subject knowledge.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and effective classroom management.

Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning, consistent teaching practice and positive student outcomes.

Bring established teaching experience and contribute positively to faculty and whole-school priorities.
Requirements

Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

Relevant secondary teaching qualifications with experience teaching Humanities and/or Accounting

Demonstrated teaching experience - this position is not suitable for graduate teachers

Strong curriculum knowledge and demonstrated classroom management skills

Full Australian working rights - sponsorship is not available

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding
