ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Our client is an established Australian consultancy specialising in civil engineering, surveying and geospatial services, project management and development-related infrastructure. The business works closely with developers, landowners and government stakeholders to deliver projects across the full development lifecycle, from initial investigations and feasibility through to design, approvals, construction and completion. Their project portfolio includes residential subdivisions, industrial developments, infrastructure and major development projects.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Registered Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of surveying services across land development and infrastructure projects. You will have significant client and project exposure, with the opportunity to work across projects from initial site investigations and cadastral definition through to construction, subdivision and final certification. The role will suit a Registered Surveyor who enjoys a combination of fieldwork, technical delivery, project management and client interaction, and who is looking to take the next step in their career within a growing consultancy.
DUTIES.
- Lead and deliver cadastral, land development and construction surveying projects
- Undertake boundary definition, cadastral surveys and title-related surveying
- Manage surveying requirements across residential and industrial subdivisions
- Undertake detail and feature surveys, levels and site investigations
- Provide high-level construction set-out and surveying support throughout project delivery
- Complete set-out for roads, earthworks, drainage, structures and civil infrastructure
- Undertake as-built and Work as Executed surveys
- Prepare and manage subdivision plans and survey documentation
- Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, planners, developers and contractors
- Liaise directly with clients, councils, authorities and other project stakeholders
- Provide technical advice and surveying solutions throughout the development lifecycle
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Registered Surveyor qualification in NSW
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science
- Strong Australian surveying experience
- Proven experience across land development, cadastral and/or construction surveying
- Experience working on subdivision projects
- Strong understanding of NSW cadastral and land development requirements
- Experience with construction set-out and civil infrastructure projects
- Strong technical understanding of survey data, calculations and plans
- Proficiency with modern surveying equipment and relevant surveying software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to manage projects and work autonomously
- Previous experience mentoring or leading survey teams would be highly regarded
- A commercial and client-focused approach to project delivery
