QA – Quality Assurance / Insurance / 50k to 70k

I am currently helping our Client seeking a QA Specialist to join the team in Hong Kong.

Your role:

• Review application development documentation and project requirements, including user requirements, epics, user stories, functional specifications, technical stories, and testing materials.
• Develop detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned with project objectives and established QA standards.
• Coordinate and execute testing activities, ensuring requirements are validated and solutions work as expected.
• Track, document, and report QA progress and results for each project.
• Collaborate with project managers, UX, creative, and development teams to identify, investigate, and resolve system defects and process issues.
• Review project deliverables and testing artifacts, provide actionable feedback, and participate in test plan reviews.
• Provide QA guidance and support to internal and external testing participants.
• Analyze test results, assess the impact on existing functionality, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Contribute to test planning, preparation, scripting, and execution in accordance with established procedures.
• Manage verification and validation activities for production changes.
• Maintain QA templates and project documentation, including release and change records.
• Work with development and project teams to review, prioritize, and resolve defects and bug reports.
• Participate in project discussions and provide QA perspectives and recommendations.

You should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of IT industry experience, with broad involvement across delivery activities and a strong track record in stakeholder engagement, defining and analyzing metrics, and communicating insights.
• Strong expertise in software testing, quality assurance, test governance, test engineering, and Agile practices.
• In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including processes and methodologies used in Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps environments.
• Solid knowledge of test automation tools and techniques, as well as current industry standards and best practices in quality and testing.
• Understanding of testing phases and their objectives throughout the SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence, including managing test plans, test cases, and defects in Jira.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale project delivery.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in fast-paced, challenging environments.
• A proactive, self-motivated team player with creative problem-solving skills and enthusiasm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
