Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone calls to manage debt collection
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions
- Research and locate customers using tracing techniques when necessary
- Prepare and send demand letters and formal notices
- Team focused, proactive nature
- Experienced in debt collection, credit control or accounts receiveable
- Familiar with NZ debt collection laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with computer systems and collection software
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and empathetically
