WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive lifecycle strategies for assigned capital equipment categories

  • Help develop fleet strategies designed to reduce total cost of ownership and maximize lifecycle returns

  • Participate in supplier identification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management

  • Support the negotiation and administration of national supplier and product agreements

  • Perform industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis

  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet performance, reduce costs, and increase equipment utilization

  • Assist in developing fleet purchase and disposal plans

  • Evaluate short-term and long-term product and equipment requirements

  • Analyze existing contracts and identify opportunities for spend reduction, leverage, and improved commercial terms

  • Build strong relationships with preferred suppliers and create mutually beneficial long-term partnerships

  • Develop product line training, maintenance support, and analytical tools

  • Present findings, opportunities, project progress, and recommendations to executive leadership

  • Partner across Operations, Sales, Procurement, Marketing, and other functions to execute product line initiatives

  • Lead and support projects that directly impact profitability, operating efficiency, and fleet performance

  • Identify process improvements and help drive positive change across a complex organization

BACKGROUND PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • 1-3+ years of product lifecycle management, fleet management, procurement, category management, or related experience

  • Familiarity with the construction capital equipment marketplace

  • Experience from either an equipment fleet management organization or equipment manufacturer environment is highly relevant

  • Strong understanding of the broader supply chain and capital equipment lifecycle

  • Experience evaluating total cost of ownership and identifying cost-reduction opportunities

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze contracts, supplier performance, spend, and equipment utilization

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to assess both short-term and long-term business needs

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple levels and functions within an organization

  • Demonstrated ability to frame complex issues clearly and present recommendations in a concise manner

  • Proven ability to drive process improvement and positive change

  • Project management experience preferred

  • MBA preferred but not required
