CNC Machinist – Direct Hire | Full Benefits

NESCO is  working with a growing manufacturing team looking to add a CNC Machinist to their operation. This is a direct hire opportunity offering stability, strong benefits, and hands-on work with both CNC and manual equipment.

Compensation: $54,080 annually (based on experience) + full benefits

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with tight tolerances, can read blueprints independently, and takes pride in producing quality parts.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines)

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Select tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job

  • Run CNC programs and ensure parts meet specifications

  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools

  • Maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality standards

  • Make machine adjustments to correct issues and improve production

  • Complete production records and inspection documentation

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and report repair needs

  • Follow safety guidelines and support lean manufacturing practices

What They’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of CNC machining or machine shop experience (or technical training)

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills

  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred:

  • Trade school or technical training

  • 3–5 years of machining experience
