A leading national FMCG and supply chain organisation is seeking an experienced National Pallet Controller to take ownership of pallet governance, reporting, compliance and continuous improvement across a complex national network.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pallet control specialist who can step into a highly visible role, work autonomously with minimal handover, and help shape the future of pallet management across the business. The role is initially offered on a contract basis due to extended leave coverage, with strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities National Pallet Governance & Control
- Manage pallet control activities across a national network.
- Ensure compliance with pallet management procedures and controls.
- Develop and implement national pallet governance standards and policies.
- Drive accountability and consistency across multiple operational sites.
- Oversee CHEP, LOSCAM and other pallet account reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve pallet variances, transfer disputes and discrepancies.
- Monitor aged balances, unresolved transfers and pallet losses.
- Ensure pallet transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Produce weekly and monthly pallet performance reporting.
- Analyse pallet data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver insights that support operational and financial decision-making.
- Monitor key pallet KPIs and compliance metrics.
- Partner with Warehousing, Transport, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance teams nationally.
- Liaise with CHEP, LOSCAM, transport providers and external partners.
- Influence and support site teams to improve pallet management outcomes.
- Provide training, coaching and guidance on pallet control best practice.
- Identify process gaps and implement practical solutions.
- Improve data integrity, reporting accuracy and operational compliance.
- Lead initiatives that reduce pallet losses and optimise asset utilisation.
- Establish sustainable processes that support future business growth.
- Proven experience in pallet control, logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of pallet reconciliations, account management and operational governance.
- Experience working with CHEP, LOSCAM or similar pallet pooling systems.
- Experience supporting multiple sites or national operations.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse high-volume transactional data.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and quickly establish credibility across the business.
- Experience developing governance frameworks, policies or continuous improvement initiatives will be highly regarded.
