Building Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Broadmeadows, VIC
Rate: $49.00 per hour + Super
Contract: Short-term contract through to January 2027

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Building Maintenance Coordinator to join a local government organisation based in Broadmeadows.
Working within the Building Maintenance Team, you will support the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of more than 300 Council-owned buildings and facilities. This role will see you coordinating maintenance activities, managing contractor performance, and ensuring works are completed in line with service standards, budgets, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate building maintenance requests across Council facilities.
• Allocate and track work orders through Council asset management systems.
• Manage and liaise with contractors across a range of services including:
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Cleaning
  • Sanitary services
  • Security
  • Locksmiths
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure service delivery obligations are met.
• Issue work orders and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and contractor payments.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, registers, and reporting data.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and facility users to ensure works are completed to required standards.
• Support compliance requirements including contractor insurances, certifications, and relevant OH&S documentation.

About You 

• Previous experience in facilities management, building maintenance coordination, property management, or a similar environment.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple maintenance requests and competing priorities.
• Exposure to asset management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience processing purchase orders, invoices, and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of OH&S requirements within facilities, property, or maintenance environments.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
