About the Role
As the HR & WHS Advisor, you will provide practical advice, support and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of people management, WHS and Workers Compensation matters. About the Role
As the HR & WHS Advisor, you will provide practical advice, support and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of people management, WHS and Workers Compensation matters. Working closely with senior HR professionals, you will contribute to a safe, compliant and engaged workplace while supporting business-wide HR initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance on Workers Compensation, Return to Work programs, WHS incidents, hazards and compliance requirements.
- Support managers with employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Assist with the management of Workers Compensation claims, including liaison with insurers, rehabilitation providers and employees.
- Support HR Business Partners with investigations, reviews and people-related projects.
- Provide advice on employment legislation, awards, policies and procedures.
- Participate in policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality HR services.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in Human Resources or HR Administration, ideally supported by a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Knowledge of HR policies, practices and employment legislation.
- Understanding of Workers Compensation and Return to Work processes.
- Working knowledge of WHS risk and hazard management.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR-related systems including HRIS, LMS and recruitment platforms.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
- Return to Work Coordinator certification.
