The opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to lead and shape the fundraising future of a highly respected national organisation at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer and a key member of the Executive Team, the General Manager, Fundraising will lead the delivery and evolution of MS Plus’ fundraising strategy, with a strong focus on income growth, diversification, innovation and performance.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary fundraising team across Individual Giving, Gifts in Wills, Major Donors, Corporate Partnerships, Events and Retail.  This is a leadership role focused on driving organisational performance and growth, where you will actively contribute to major donor engagement, pipeline growth, campaign performance and partnership development.

Working closely with executive stakeholders across brand, engagement, digital, data and client experience, you will help build a future-focused fundraising function that supports both services and research outcomes.

In this role, you will
  • Lead the implementation of the fundraising strategy aligned to organisational growth and transformation priorities
  • Drive revenue growth and diversification across individual giving, major donors, corporate partnerships, gifts in wills and events
  • Lead and develop a high-performing fundraising team focused on collaboration, accountability and innovation
  • Build strong internal and external relationships with major donors, corporate partners and key external stakeholders alongside the Executive team
  • Use data, insights and digital capability to improve fundraising performance and supporter engagement
  • Provide expert fundraising advice and reporting to the Executive, CEO and Board
About you

You are a passionate fundraising leader with a strong track record of building sustainable revenue growth across multiple fundraising channels.
You bring strong leadership capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to balance organisational oversight with hands-on delivery. You are comfortable leading teams through growth and transformation while maintaining strong donor relationships and building a culture of fundraising across an organisation.

You will bring:
  • Demonstrated Senior fundraising leadership experience within not-for-profit, charity or purpose-led organisations
  • Proven success delivering revenue growth across major giving, individual giving, partnerships, gifts in wills and campaigns
  • Experience leading high-performing fundraising teams within complex organisations
  • Strong organisational, financial and operational leadership capability
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence and engage executive stakeholders, donors and partners
  • Strong understanding of donor journeys, fundraising strategy, performance reporting and data-led decision making
  • Experience within health, disability, medical research or community services sectors will be highly regarded.
