Chandler Macleod is currently seeking experienced Marine Fitters to join a major Defence maritime project based in Henderson, Western Australia.
Working within a highly regarded Defence environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of critical mechanical and hydraulic systems supporting Australia's naval capability. - $74.00/hr Normal Time
- $110.00/hr Time and a Half
- $147.00/hr Double Time
- $4.00/hr Allowances paid on all hours worked
- Minimum 6-month contract
- Defence industry project

About the Role
As a Marine Fitter, you will be involved in:
- Maintenance and overhaul of mechanical equipment
- Installation, repair and testing of hydraulic systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting of marine systems
- Working from technical drawings and maintenance documentation
Conducting inspections and equipment rebuilds
Adhering to strict safety and quality requirements within a Defence environment
About You
To be successful, you will possess:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Experience as a Marine Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or similar trade
- Proven hydraulics experience
- Experience within Defence, naval, marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
Highly Desirable
- Previous submarine experience
- Defence industry experience
- Naval vessel maintenance experience
- Australian Defence projects exposure
Essential Requirements
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
- Current White Card
- Current Confined Space Entry certification
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
