Job Summary
Market leader in precision high-performance GPS systems.  We are seeking a self-motivated embedded software engineer with disciplined implementation and analytical skills to join the engineering team.  In this position, you will join a tight-knit team of talented developers in a stable and supportive work environment, where you can quickly see the positive impact of your efforts.  You will develop embedded GPS signal recovery, timing, and message processing software, interact closely with hardware, firmware, system engineering, and test teams to continue widening our advantage in leading-edge embedded GPS receivers meeting the most demanding aviation performance needs.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will work closely with System Engineering to interpret requirements and to design and implement software solutions in our embedded GPS receivers.  They will plan and scope development effort, follow structured development processes to design, document, implement, verify, and certify software, and define requirements-based system tests. 

Measures of Success

• Work with Systems Engineering to correctly interpret requirements and design a modular software solution.
• Implement the modular software and pass validation tests.
• Complete DO-178 certification of work products.
• Generate and maintain easily comprehendible design documentation.
• Ensure applications conform with configuration management, release, and quality assurance processes.

Skills & Experience Required

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
• Expertise in:
  • Modular/Structured Software Design and design concepts.
  • Writing software in C.
• Experience with:
  • Designing software for embedded / minimal architectures.
  • Multi-Threaded Operating Systems and Multi-Threaded Software Design.
  • Real-Time, Time-Critical software (Embedded Systems, High Speed Servers, etc.)
  • CM tools and processes.
  • Writing software in Python 3.x.
  • Waterfall, Iterative Spiral, Agile, etc. software development.
• Knowledge of Digital Hardware and Microprocessor Architecture.
• Strong verbal, written, and documentation skills. 
• Well Organized, Self-Motivating, and team oriented.

Desired Skills

• Communications systems / GPS
• Object oriented programming in C++ and Python
• Software Process (CMMI, DO-178b)

Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required. Applicants must clearly indicate any previous DoD security clearance activity.

Estimated Min Rate: $119500.00/Annually
Estimated Max Rate: $164400.00/Annually
