Service Technician – Water Treatment and Filtration

A leading Australian-owned water treatment business is seeking a motivated and customer focused Service Technician to join their team based in Seven Hills, Sydney.

You’ll be responsible for servicing and maintaining water purification and disinfection systems across a range of sites, including hospitals, airlines, and manufacturing plants. The role involves very limited travel, with most work located within the Sydney metro area (the furthest site is typically Gosford).

This position offers strong career potential, with the opportunity to step into a Service Lead role managing a small team for the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and breakdown servicing of water filtration and purification systems

• Service and test SDI tanks, RO, ultrafiltration and disinfection systems

• Prepare accurate service reports and assist with quotations

• Liaise directly with customers to ensure high service standards

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to support ongoing improvement

What you’ll bring

• Trade or TAFE qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing

• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar field (water treatment preferred but not essential)

• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable in customer facing work

• Police Check and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
