This is an opportunity to use your rostering, scheduling and people leadership expertise in a genuinely meaningful industry, with backgrounds in healthcare, aged care, community services or hospitality highly regarded.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced Roster Manager, Scheduling Manager, Customer Care Manager or Team Leader to bring their strong coordination and people management skills into a genuinely meaningful industry.
You may come from healthcare, aged care, community services, hospitality, retail or logistics and be looking for a role where your operational expertise directly contributes to supporting families during significant moments in their lives.
What You'll Be Doing

Coordinate funeral teams, resources, vehicles and supplies to ensure services run smoothly and to the highest standards

Manage rostering, scheduling and daily staffing requirements, making adjustments as priorities change

Lead, support and develop the coordination team, providing clear feedback and recognising strong performance

Ensure teams are appropriately resourced and prepared to deliver exceptional service to families

Coordinate day-to-day administration, including timesheets, paperwork, invoicing, purchasing and stock management

Liaise with suppliers and contractors regarding maintenance of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment

Support transfer crews and funeral teams with the preparation and coordination of required documentation

Drive a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability and compassion

Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and service delivery across the operation
About You
You are an experienced people and operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

Rostering, scheduling and workforce coordination

Team leadership and performance management

Healthcare, aged care, community services or other service-driven environments

Operations or administration management

Coordinating multiple teams, services or locations

Working calmly and professionally in emotionally sensitive environments
Experience within the funeral industry is highly regarded, but not essential. What's most important is your ability to lead people, manage competing priorities and deliver a high level of service with empathy and professionalism.
You will also need a current driver's licence and be comfortable working around deceased people and supporting families experiencing grief.
