You’ll be working within a supportive P&C environment, handling end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Interpreting and applying local government industrial instruments, tax, superannuation, and leave legislation to ensure accurate and compliant payroll outcomes
  • Responding to payroll queries from people managers and employees, explaining concepts such as leave entitlements, pay composition, and tax with clarity and confidence
  • Maintaining payroll records and producing periodic and exception reports for compliance and regulatory purposes
  • Upholding strict confidentiality and data integrity standards while contributing to continuous improvement of payroll service delivery

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a payroll role, ideally within local government, public sector, healthcare, or education
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (finance, business, HR or similar)
  • Sound working knowledge of payroll systems - PayGlobal experience highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, tax, super, and leave entitlements
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet payroll deadlines without fail
