Nephrology Nurse Practitioner | Coeur d’Alene, ID – Outpatient Dialysis

Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a nephrology team in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.


Position Highlights:

• Full-time outpatient nephrology and dialysis opportunity
• Round on in-center dialysis patients at multiple dialysis units 3 times monthly
• Monitor fluid balance, clearance parameters and vascular access
• Manage blood pressure, electrolyte abnormalities, bone and mineral disorders, nutrition and anemia
• Address treatment attendance and social barriers affecting dialysis care
• Assist with medication management, including dialysis-related adjustments, refills and medication reconciliation
• Write dialysis orders for short-term travelers and new dialysis patients
• Manage notifications related to missed or shortened treatments, concerning vital signs and urgent clinical issues
• Respond to dialysis-related emergencies requiring EMS or hospital transfer
• Collaborate closely with attending nephrologists in accordance with state law, regulations, policies and clinical pathways
• Opportunity to provide autonomous, team-based care
• Experience in dialysis, internal medicine or another medical specialty preferred, but not required
