LOCUM MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN - ASAP START

THE ROLE

Salary: $80 - $160 per hour + Super + 'Living Away From Home Allowance' assistance
Location: Regional Victoria or Regional NSW
Accommodation and Travel: Included
Hours: Rotating roster, 5 days a week
Contract Length: 12 weeks initially with scope for extension

We are seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians with a strong background in Acute hospital care, and experience working in either a Triage or Crisis Assessment setting.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Social Workers, Nurses and Psychologists, you will provide a range of services that include telephone and face to face triage of hospital clients presenting with mild to very severe mental health conditions, including Schizophrenia. When working in a crisis assessment setting, you will complete mental health assessments of patients in crisis. You must have strong mental health assessment skills within hospitals, and also the community.
 
This position offers the opportunity to work as part of an effective team, providing quality care to clients through the use of clinical skills within the scope of integrated services. The role gives exposure to a rural and regional healthcare service, partnering with larger health networks including, to ensure the role is supportive and fosters career growth across a range of areas.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Social Worker or Mental Health Nurse with at least 4 years experience working in hospital settings
• AASW eligibility or AHPRA Registration
• Skills and experience within a hospital triage or crisis assessment space
• Acute hospital experience
• Ability to work within a fast paced hospital setting in a multi-disciplinary team
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
