In this role, you'll assist engineers on project work spanning design, configuration, and commissioning, and support production areas to reduce downtime and improve processes. This is a hands-on position with real ownership from day one, and you'll be an integral part of a growing team.

What You'll Do:
- Partner with Production staff to develop new or improved process designs related to control software and hardware -driving greater efficiency, higher levels of automation, improved control methods, and better information gathering and reporting and work with the engineering group to implement them.
- Provide technical support to Production for control system configuration, process control parameter changes, and process troubleshooting.
- Work within a team to introduce and recommend control scheme changes that improve plant operations.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver training procedures for console operators to build strong operating practices on automated systems, including training materials and process simulation.
- Maintain good documentation practices in accordance with site GMP guidelines.
- Build working knowledge of multiple control systems on site (PLC and DCS) and provide backup support to other process control personnel.
- Support area capital projects, including scope development, cost justification, control logic, and commissioning.
- Support site safety and quality initiatives through participation and leadership in teams, incident/CAR analysis, and follow-up.
What We're Looking For:
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of automation control platforms such as PLC/HMI or DCS
- Proven reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work safely and responsibly with minimal instruction
- A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of safety, health, environmental, quality systems, and regulatory compliance guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to interact with facility employees, contract personnel, outside vendors, and customers
- Quick learner driven to broaden their knowledge base, with excellent computer skills
- Physical requirements beyond sedentary work: equipment inspection and troubleshooting, climbing stairs and ladders, and wearing required protective equipment
- Flexibility with work schedule during shutdowns and other extraordinary conditions
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with process instrumentation, controls engineering, and structured programming techniques
- Basic programming knowledge
- Allen-Bradley platforms: FactoryTalk (HMI) / RSLogix 5000
- Communication protocols for interfacing with other PLC manufacturers
- Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude
