About the Role
This position will support the national finance team across transactional finance, compliance and administration activities. Reporting into senior leadership, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function while providing broader administrative support to the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including supplier invoice entry, payment runs, customer invoicing and maintenance of accurate account records
- Complete debtor management activities including aged debtor reviews, follow-ups with stakeholders, escalation of overdue accounts and coordination of weekly debtor meetings
- Perform daily financial reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, Wise accounts and other ledgers, ensuring accurate coding and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Monitor and reconcile employee and corporate expenditure including Wise cards, reimbursements, Uber accounts and other shared expense systems, ensuring policy compliance and supporting documentation
- Reconcile online sales platforms including eBay and Shopify, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and aligned to Xero
- Support broader finance operations including procurement, travel coordination, purchase orders, insurance documentation, and employee reimbursements, ensuring compliance with internal processes
- Maintain financial systems and records within Xero, support statutory reporting requirements (including BAS, payroll tax, PAYG and superannuation), assist with audit preparation, and contribute to ongoing process improvements while working within defined performance frameworks and KPIs
About You
- Experience working with Xero or similar accounting systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Sound understanding of accounts payable, receivable and reconciliation processes
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach
