Role Overview

• Location: Somerset, United Kingdom
• Package: Competitive day rate (outside IR35)

• Clearance: Current DV 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Management and Workload Domains using advanced orchestration tools.
• Design, develop, and optimise complex virtual networking topologies with NSX focusing on security and micro-segmentation.
• Configure and fine-tune VCF Operations Suite for proactive management, automation, and log analysis.
• Collaborate on integrating NetApp storage solutions to ensure high performance and redundancy.
• Manage patching and upgrades across the entire stack to maintain continuous compliance.
• Secure authentication and identity management for critical management planes.
• Work alongside architects and engineers to deliver solutions aligned with high-security standards.

Main Skills Needed

• Expert knowledge of VMware VCF (v8.x/9.x) including SDDC Manager and hybrid architectures
• Strong experience with VMware NSX security-driven networking and overlay-to-underlay integration
• Proficiency with Aria Operations, Log Insight, and Automation tools
• Background in UK high-security environments such as MOD, Government, or National Infrastructure
• Certification in VMware (VCP-VMC, VCIX-NV or equivalent)
