My client, a well-established supplier to the construction and equipment hire sector is seeking a highly organised and confident Administration Clerk to join their busy team in Tullamore.
This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of administrative tasks, working at pace, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-moving environment.
We are looking for someone who is detail-focused, dependable, and able to keep multiple tasks moving smoothly while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
Strong customer service skills are essential, as you will be a key point of contact for customers and internal teams.
Tasks & Duties
- Acting as a first point of contact for customer enquiries at the hire desk, by phone, and email
- Processing equipment hire and off-hire requests accurately and efficiently
- Preparing contracts, delivery dockets, and invoices
- Coordinating closely with drivers, yard staff, and customers to ensure smooth deliveries and collections
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date hire and account records
- Supporting credit control and general office administration tasks
- Ensuring every customer receives a professional, responsive, and reliable service
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
- Proven strong administration skills in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and confident manner
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with paperwork and data
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- Comfortable communicating with customers face-to-face, by phone, and email
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach
- Experience within hardware, construction, logistics, or plant hire environments would be a distinct advantage and is strongly preferred
