IPWEA is the not-for-profit member association for local government, public works and infrastructure professionals across Australia and New Zealand. About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Marketing, you'll coordinate and execute integrated marketing and communications initiatives across multiple channels. Your work will drive awareness, engagement, lead generation, membership growth and event participation. You'll also support relationships with members, partners, sponsors and branches, delivering a consistent, professional brand experience at every touchpoint. It's a dynamic, fast-paced role, ideal for someone looking to build their career in a complex and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of marketing plans and campaign schedules
  • Write, edit and distribute content across websites, EDMs, social media, newsletters and media releases, in line with brand guidelines
  • Manage digital advertising, social media accounts and website updates, working with external suppliers where needed
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, assets, approvals and paid, owned and earned media activity
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, branches, partners and suppliers to support shared marketing and communications objectives
  • Track and report on marketing and campaign performance, recommending improvements
  • Support membership growth and engagement, and provide marketing support for conferences, training and events (including onsite support)
About You
Essential:
  • Demonstrated experience in a marketing, communications or engagement role
  • Strong written and communication skills, with attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong MS suite skills, and confidence using Canva
  • Strong time and self-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
Desirable:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
  • Experience using CMS and email marketing software, plus CRM experience
  • Experience working with or in industry associations or not-for-profits
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, and a track record of taking initiative and delivering results
