Apply directEMEA Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a private equity-backed, global group. We are seeking an experienced Interim Tax Accountant to join a lean corporate finance team, operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This is a chance to take full ownership of Swiss tax topics and corporate tax compliance, while playing a key role in supporting ongoing Oracle Cloud system optimizations.
You'll act as a strong in-house expert, working alongside external consultants who handle higher-level, complex tax matters.
This role will be predominantly remote-based, with occasional onsite visits required to work collaboratively with colleagues (Thurgau). Given the scope of stakeholders, fluency in German is strongly preferred.
This position will suit someone who brings energy, strong technical tax experience, hands-on ERP systems knowledge, and a passion to actively participate in a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day Swiss corporate tax compliance and related corporate tax topics for group entities
- Provide key in-house expertise and support on Oracle Cloud, assisting with post-implementation issues and process enhancements
- Liaise directly with external consultants on highly complex tax matters and statutory escalations
- Collaborate with local finance teams and group stakeholders to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting
- Support group-wide tax compliance alignment and assist with ad-hoc corporate tax projects as required
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional tax qualification (or equivalent) is preferred
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant/Specialist with a strong focus on Swiss corporate tax
- Practical, hands-on experience working with Oracle Cloud (ERP) and troubleshooting tax-related system issues
- Fluency in German (preferred) and professional-level English language skills
- Ability to work effectively in a predominantly remote setup, with flexibility for occasional onsite presence
- Strong team player with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mindset and the ability to operate independently as a strong in-house subject matter expert
