Trade Counter Sales Assistant – Dublin 15

Permanent | Ballycoolin | Monday–Friday | 7am–4pm

FRS Recruitment is recruiting a Trade Counter Sales Assistant for a successful and established supplier to the construction and building materials sector in Dublin 15.

This is a customer and sales-focused position, with approximately 65% of the role based around trade counter/sales and 35% supporting warehouse operations.

You’ll be dealing directly with trade customers, managing orders and sales enquiries and supporting the external sales team, while also helping with stock, customer collections and warehouse operations when needed.

The Role

  • Trade counter sales and customer service

  • Deal with customers face-to-face, by phone and email

  • Take and process sales orders

  • Build strong relationships with trade customers

  • Respond to customer and product enquiries

  • Support field-based sales representatives

  • Assist with stock control and administration

  • Pick and prepare customer orders

  • Load and unload trucks and deliveries

  • Prepare orders for collections and deliveries

  • Operate counterbalance and high-reach forklifts

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have experience within trade counter sales, builders merchants, construction supplies, hardware, roofing, plumbing/heating or building materials.

You should have:

  • Strong customer-facing experience

  • A natural sales and customer service approach

  • Good communication skills

  • Experience dealing with customer orders

  • A commercially focused mindset

  • A hands-on approach

  • The ability to work independently and within a team

  • Flexibility to work across both sales and warehouse duties

  • Availability to work 7am–4pm Monday to Friday

Current counterbalance and high-reach forklift licences are required.
