Mechanical Fitter Leading Hand – Fixed Plant | Gold Mining
WA Gold Mining | Fixed Plant Maintenance | Negotiable Pay Rate
Clarity Partners is seeking an experienced Mechanical Leading Hand to join an established gold mining operation in Western Australia.
This is a hands-on leadership position within the fixed plant maintenance team, supporting the safe and reliable operation of a gold processing facility. You'll work closely with site maintenance leadership while providing day-to-day direction and technical support to the mechanical team.
The Role
- Lead and support Mechanical Fitters across planned and breakdown maintenance
- Hands-on fixed plant maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities and priorities
- Fault finding and preventative maintenance
- Work across crushers, conveyors, mills, pumps and associated processing equipment
- Assist with permits, isolations and safe execution of maintenance activities
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to tradespeople
- Maintain high safety and workmanship standards
What We're Looking For
- Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
- Strong fixed plant maintenance experience
- Previous mining or mineral processing experience
- Gold processing experience highly regarded
- Previous Leading Hand, Relief Supervisor or Acting Supervisor experience
- Strong breakdown and fault-finding capabilities
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Ability to complete pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
