System Engineer

About the role

You will be accountable under general direction to manage complex activities and tasks relating to requirements development, system definition, design and development, integration, verification and validation. The role will facilitate planning, organisation, integration and delivery of complex systems engineering services and products.

Role Responsibilities

• Work with project managers, product owners, business analysts and senior customers on the design of integrated ICT solutions that support organisational outcomes within the constraints of a technology roadmap.
• Lead, develop, and deliver key engineering documentation such as the System Requirement Specification, and Support System Specification, High Level Design, and Detailed Design.
• Support and contribute to the System Architecture Definition, and Design Definition.

The successful candidate will demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5. You will use appropriate systems design methods, tools, and techniques, selecting and applying plan-driven or agile approaches effectively.

• 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options.

Security Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current TSPV Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
