Native Mobile Developer —IB FS iOS & Android/ $60-80k P/M

12 month extendable contract

We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Native Mobile Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of customer-facing mobile applications.

This role will focus primarily on native mobile development, with a strong emphasis on iOS engineering, mobile platform capabilities, SDK integrations, application performance, and release management. The successful candidate will work closely with product, design, engineering, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native mobile applications and platform features
• Build and enhance mobile functionality across iOS and, where required, Android environments
• Develop reusable mobile components, libraries, frameworks, and SDK integrations
• Work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other mobile developers
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services, third-party platforms, and external SDKs
• Manage iOS dependencies and reusable components using Swift Package Manager
• Support application packaging, code signing, provisioning, certificate management, and release processes
• Maintain and improve mobile application architecture, performance, reliability, and security
• Troubleshoot complex application issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Participate in code reviews and promote strong software engineering standards
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and reusable code
• Support automated testing, continuous integration, and mobile deployment pipelines
• Monitor application performance, crashes, stability, and user experience
• Work with QA teams to investigate defects and ensure high-quality releases
• Stay up to date with mobile development standards, platform updates, tools, and emerging technologies

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in native mobile application development
• Solid commercial experience developing iOS applications using Swift
• Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, development patterns, and application architecture
• Hands-on experience using Xcode and the wider iOS development ecosystem
• Practical experience with Swift Package Manager and dependency management
• Strong understanding of the iOS packaging and release lifecycle
• Experience with provisioning profiles, certificates, code signing, and App Store release processes
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs, APIs, and backend services
• Good understanding of mobile application security, performance, debugging, and optimisation
• Experience with source control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical quality
• Ability to work effectively within Agile, cross-functional product and engineering teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

• Commercial Android development experience using Kotlin or Java
• Experience working across both iOS and Android applications
• Exposure to React Native, Capacitor, or other hybrid mobile technologies
• Experience supporting applications that combine native and hybrid components
• Knowledge of mobile SDK development, distribution, versioning, and integration
• Experience with modular mobile architecture and reusable platform components
• Familiarity with mobile analytics, crash reporting, monitoring, and performance tools
• Experience working within a large-scale enterprise or regulated environment
