Shipper/Receiver – International Shipping

Location: Lowell, MA
Pay: $34.00/hour ($79,000 annually)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

About the Opportunity

Nesco Resource is seeking a Shipper/Receiver for a growing manufacturing company in Lowell, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced shipping professional with a strong background in international shipping, export documentation, and HTS classification. Responsibilities

• Prepare and process domestic and international outbound shipments

• Ensure shipping documentation, labeling, and packaging are accurate and compliant

• Classify products using HTS codes

• Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other export documents

• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies

• Maintain inventory records and process shipping transactions using SAP or a similar ERP system

• Follow company procedures for packaging, labeling, and material handling

• Assist with Dangerous Goods (DG) shipment procedures when applicable

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area

• Identify shipping issues and recommend process improvements

Qualifications

Required:

• 3–5 years of shipping/receiving experience with a strong emphasis on international shipping

• Experience with HTS code classification and export documentation

• SAP or similar ERP experience

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Dangerous Goods (IATA/DOT/IMDG) certification

• Experience in a life sciences, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of export compliance regulations (EAR/ITAR) is a plus
