About the role
You’ll work closely with an HR Business Partner to deliver consistent, compliant and proactive HR support across multiple sites. The role is a true generalist position, covering everything from employee relations and policy advice to recruitment support, workforce planning and day‑to‑day people operations.
You’ll partner with leaders to guide them through performance, conduct, grievances and workplace investigations, ensuring processes are fair, timely and aligned with legislation and internal policies. You’ll also play a key role in supporting a workforce covered by a mix of Awards and enterprise agreements, helping leaders navigate industrial requirements confidently.

Key responsibilities
- Provide clear, practical advice to leaders and employees on HR policies, workplace matters and employment legislation.
- Support performance management, conduct issues, grievances and investigations, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Contribute to positive workplace culture and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with policy development, review and implementation.
- Support HR reporting, workforce analytics and continuous improvement projects.
- Deliver operational HR support across recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance reviews and offboarding.
- Provide insights from workforce data to support planning and decision‑making.
- Assist with organisational changes, restructures and workforce management activities.
- Help leaders understand labour cost drivers, industrial instruments and workforce expenditure.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Confident in employee relations, with the ability to coach leaders and manage sensitive matters.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across varied operational environments.
- Highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities and work autonomously.
- Professional, discreet and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience in agribusiness or unionised environments is beneficial but not essential.
